Mary Beth is the program manager for the K-12 Online Content Project at the California State Library, a unique library-education partnership that brings quality online educational content and tools into California's classrooms. Platforms from Britannica (general encyclopedia with extras), TeachingBooks (ELA resource encouraging love of reading and diverse books), Gale (science resources, including National Geographic Kids) and ProQuest (seven different research resources and libraries, for 4th grade to pre-college) are now available for all public schools with no cost to districts, charters or local libraries. Mary Beth is also a parent (5th grade), a sci-fi enthusiast, arts/education nonprofit volunteer, and teaching artist (acting) for high-school students.
