Join Catharine Reznicek, Educational Technology Specialist from the Ventura County Office of Education, to discuss Media and Information Literacy - essential skills for surviving and thriving in today’s digital society. I will provide an overview of the AEIOU’s of information literacy (Access, Evaluate, Integrate, Originate, and Use Information) and discuss techniques we can all use to combat misinformation, disinformation, and “fake news”. Together we can help our students develop critical thinking skills while nurturing their innate sense of creativity and curiosity. A curated resource list will be provided and discussion and collaboration will be encouraged.
