Genrefication is a great tool to help students more easily navigate your library. Students can find books more easily. Genrefication can also help make collection development and shelving easier. The process seems daunting and a bit scary, but genrefying your library is not one size fits all. It is a spectrum and can look a myriad of different ways to fit different libraries, students, and budgets. This session will go through several options for how to genrefy a library, the pros and cons of each, budgetary constraints, time constraints, etc. to help you build a plan for how you can work towards a genrefied library.
