Two classified elementary librarians created a unique version of the Battle of the Books, purposefully designed to include empathy, tolerance, resourcefulness, teamwork, diversity, and inclusion awareness. In this session, a slide presentation will include the following: Application/qualification, choosing titles, three different rounds of play, including a mystery round, lunchtime team practices, Kahoot games, “Blurt hat!” reading journals, team t-shirts, book bags, parent volunteers, competition moderator, scoring, trophies, video, attendees will play BOTB’s, Q&A.
