APIDA representation has had to struggle with images of the model minority, perpetual foreigner, yellow peril, exoticism, etc. This panel seeks to explore and examine the status of APIDA (Asian Pacific Islander Desi-American) women voices in KidLit. The panelists will discuss their own personal narratives in addition to issues related to representation, #ownvoices, challenges, etc.
