Librarians are in a unique position to foster equity, empathy and belonging in their schools through their library programs. Learn ways to move beyond building diverse collections to developing your entire library program through a social justice lens in order to develop empowered, empathetic, inclusive students and teachers. Learn about projects that have helped build students’ and teachers’ capacity to converse across cultural differences and to research and participate in current social movements to make change. Come away with inspiration to engage in equity work and ideas to implement in your own library.
